What a confidence level actually means.
Confidence reflects how strongly the reported signs point to a condition, weighed against the alternatives. A high figure means the pattern fits well. It does not mean the case is closed.
- High confidence marks the pattern that fits the reported signs best.
- Moderate entries stay on the list precisely so they are not overlooked.
- Low-ranked conditions are shown, not hidden, so nothing is silently dropped.

Rare presentations, overlapping conditions and anything needing hands-on examination or lab confirmation still call for a veterinarian. The panel is there to sharpen that judgment, never to stand in for it.
